Love my Charlee

So this morning you were telling a story about how you found a bug on the Dora cup and you said you didn't kill it because you wanted it to open the door and leave by itself.  Then you said "and then I was like..." And went on to say that you told Lily about the bug and that she didn't care.

Then you said " so Mommy, how did you sleep?"

Charlee the peer model

Found out Monday that miss charlee barley is going to be a peer model this fall! So proud of you charlee and the example you will show other kids.  You are my spunky little spit fire and I love your independence and sassiness.

Charlee- So lately you have been waking a little earlier than I'd like - which is ok because I know you are going potty.  But I told you last night that when you wake up to go potty that you can go back in your room and play instead of waking up Mommy.  So at about 2am last night I hear someone in the bathroom but then never hear a bedroom door shut.  So I get up and I find you with your light on and playing with the train track on the floor in your room.  What's sweet is you listened to me - but not exactly what I meant.  Too cute!  At least I was able to convince you to go back to bed pretty easily.

Charlee says and does

Yesterday you said your shirt was aquamarine (ahguhmeen) and not blue - thanks to a coloring app on Mommy's phone that tells you colors when you select them. You also point out beige, copper, and gray.
Today you said you better get 'dessed' and you came downstairs with a backwards top on and a long sleeve shirt on for pants! You said it was a pretty dess. I couldn't bring myself to change you because it's just so precious!!

That was a close one

So last night we were watching The Prince of Egypt and right after the part where the Hebrews cross the Red Sea and God closes the gap on Pharoah's soldiers just in time, Charlee you said, "that was a close one". So cute. Didn't even know you knew how to use that statement!!

Things you say

So today I asked lily if the lights were on when she came down stairs referring to the Christmas lights and you said, "I stepped on the stairs and they just magically...came on!"- so cute with such enthusiasm! Then Charlee while getting ready to eat climbs in her seat and with fear and urgency, " I need bucka in, bucka in!" - I thought you were going to cry if I didn't buckle you in. So precious. I am so blessed.

Charlee potty trains!

So it's been a week since we started training you. You have already come so far! You have stayed dry each night and during each naptime! Then this morning you woke up early and came and snuggled with me in my bed and told me you needed to go potty! Then you went! Then later this morning you told me again and went! So proud of you. If only you could reach the faucet you could probably go all by yourself!

Arrival in Orlando Florida

We just landed in Florida and both you girls did so well on both flights. Lily you even thanked the captain on our way off the Atlanta to Orlando flight. Then after grampy picked us up you very sweetly thanked him for picking us up.
Charlee all you could say is that you wanted to 'ride dumbo' on the first flight. We had to remind you that wouldn't be til tomorrow.

Crazy Charlee barlee

Well Monday sept 3 we converted your bed to a toddler bed because you have been climbing out a lot more lately. Plus when asked you said you wanted a big girl bed you said uh huh. So we did and you did not nap in it and had a hard time going to bed that night. Tuesday wasnt much better but at night you went to bed well. You since have figured out how to open and shut doors and get everything out of them. We had to buy locks to put on your closet and the hall closet. Today no nap. Just screaming. Tonight you didn't fall asleep or even calm down until almost 10pm. Hope this is a quick phase of adjustment to your new bed.

Charlee says

This morning you were sitting eating your Poptart and an airplane flew over the house and you said "airplane". I didn't even hear the airplane at first. You are so smart!

Charlee Snuggles

Today you climbed on my lap on the couch and just gave me a hug.  So sweet.  And you kept doing it too.  You have always been my snuggle bunny.  I want to cherish these sweet moments.  Especially on those days you kinda drive Mommy nuts.

Charlee- so I am pretty sure your favorite word right now is Car. With an emphasis on the 'r'. Your favorite puzzle is the one with caRs on it. You actually wanted to take it with you in the van the other night.

Charlee- now when you ask for ice you say "ice ice beebee" (ice ice baby). Not quite sure where you learned that but it's pretty cute.

Charlee says

Charlee- you were brushing your hair this morning and daddy said 'I like your hair' and you said 'coo coo' or as we understand it. "thank you". So cute. And sweet that you know what it means and when to say it.

The way you eat

Charlee-You pick up the piece of hotdog with your hands and put it on your fork so you can then put the bite in your mouth with the fork. Love it. Love you.

This morning in the nursery you picked up a book and said tractor. But then your daddy told me you said it Friday when reading your picture book.

Tonight I saw you do the jungle puzzle with the giraffe, lion, and zebra all by yourself!

Charlee Sick for a Month

Charlee you had a cold for 2 weeks and I took you to the doctor which turned out just to be a virus.  But then it wouldn't go away.  Finally, Saturday Feb 4th you woke up in the middle of the night coughing and it did not sound good so I took you to the urgent care.  Turns out you had pneumonia.  You were wheezing pretty bad and coughing a rough cough.  I was pretty worried.  But the doctor and nurses took immediate care of you giving you a shot of medicine and a breathing treatment - which you did NOT enjoy at all!  It was a wrestling match to get you to sit still to take it.  It took myself and the nurse to hold you down.  Since then we have been giving you steroids, antibiotics, and breathing treatments.  Sunday afternoon you had made a miraculous improvement!  Coming from Saturday not wanting to leave your daddy, grandpa, or mommy's arms all day.  While we enjoyed the snuggle time - we know you were not yourself and were happy to see you running around bouncing off the walls again.
